Justus Tanui

As Country Director, Justus is focused on driving the rapid expansion of Dig Deep’s programmes across Bomet County by growing and strengthening our local team, earning a national reputation for excellent community-led, sustainable development.

Justus's background is in education, most recently serving as Head Teacher of the ‘Small Home’, a local Bomet County centre of excellence for SEN education which he built from the ground up.

In 2012, Dig Deep helped the students of the Small Home gain access to clean water for the first time. After seeing first-hand the impact of this work, Justus volunteered for Dig Deep for 5 years alongside his headteacher responsibilities, helping neighbouring schools to gain access to clean water, before joining the staff team in 2017.

Alongside his role at Dig Deep, Justus holds various trustee roles on the boards of Education institutions and has been awarded a Masters in Special Educational Needs.
